Overview

The Series

SUNTUKAN is set in Nagara City — a fictional provincial Philippine city in the Bicol region where underground street fights and illegal gambling are the machinery of local politics. An oppressive figure controls everything from the shadows: the fights, the bets, the politicians, the police.

Then a wandering fighter arrives. He's not looking for trouble. He's looking for work. He has no idea what he's walking into.

The series blends street-level Filipino drama with anime action aesthetics — Taglish dialogue, provincial city setting, character-driven storytelling, and fight sequences that grow in scale as the story escalates. It's built for short-form consumption but structured as a serialized narrative.

SUNTUKAN draws its DNA from Filipino popular media first. The fight architecture — contrasting styles, readable stances, characters who reveal their true ability only under pressure — comes directly from Street Fighter and Fatal Fury. The dramatic structure — found family, slow-built trust, institutional corruption, a female lead who carries the emotional weight while the male lead carries the physical conflict — is teleserye. The visual language is anime. The result is something that speaks to Filipino fighting game fans, teleserye audiences, and anime viewers simultaneously, without asking any of them to meet it halfway.

The Cast

Key Characters

Tayo
Protagonist — The Wandering Fighter

A drifter. Self-taught street fighter, no formal background, no political connections. Arrives in Nagara City looking for honest work. Quiet, direct, unhurried. The kind of person a city like Nagara City is not built for — and cannot ignore.

Maria
Heart of the Story

Runs the sari-sari store with her grandfather. Resourceful, guarded, practical. She hustles harder than anyone gives her credit for — street vending, store work, whatever it takes. Suspicious of strangers by default. Her trust is not given. It's earned.

Tatay
Moral Anchor

Maria's grandfather. Elderly, wiry, warm. Speaks more pure Tagalog than anyone else in the city. Has lived in Nagara City long enough to remember what it was before. Sees things in people that others miss.

Bad Boy
The Wildcard

Dirty blonde spiky hair, distressed denim jacket, sunglasses he never takes off. Loud, charming, very Taglish. Moves through Nagara City's underground like he belongs there — because he does. His relationship to Maria is not immediately clear. Neither is which side he's on.

Sir Reiner
The Antagonist

Massive, silver-haired, mestizo. Dark suit. The name everyone in Nagara City knows and nobody says carelessly. His presence is felt long before he appears — in the jobs that don't come through, the fights that get arranged, the silence people keep when certain questions get asked.

Captain Gonzales
Authority

Barangay Captain. Large, fast, physically imposing in a way that has nothing to do with his uniform. A fixture of Nagara City's power structure. Knows the city, knows its people, and carries that knowledge carefully. Not a man you approach without a reason.

Production

How It's Made

SUNTUKAN is a fully independent production by a single creator. Every visual element — character designs, background plates, composites, and action sequences — is produced using an AI-assisted pipeline built specifically for this series.

The pipeline combines Kling AI for character generation and background stills, Grok for style transfer and environment work, Photoshop for compositing and color grading, Google Gemini TTS for all principal cast dialogue, and CapCut for final assembly and subtitle delivery.

Dialogue is written entirely by the creator in Taglish — authentic to how Filipinos actually speak — and verified for cultural and linguistic accuracy. All episodes are reviewed for Content ID compliance before release.

The result is a serialized animated series that would be impossible to produce at this scale without AI tooling — and impossible to produce with soul without a human at the center of every creative decision.
